The 20th Congress of International Federation for Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering ,which will be held in 23-25 October,2012, hosted by the Chinese Heat Treatment Society, now represents an excellent opportunity to build upon past successes and take a global view of the industry and its underlying science in the second decade of the 21 Century.

The organising committee invites abstracts of papers for presentation at the congress. Please forward a title and a abstract to the Conference Secretariat or submit your abstract online. All abstracts are subject to approval by the Technical Committee. The submitting authors will be notified by 31 May,2012, at the email address provided during submission, whether their abstract has been accepted or not. Accepted authors will be required to submit a 6 pages,camera ready, manuscript by 1 September,2012 .

1. Manuscript can be accepted either as poster or oral communication.
2. Full presentation guidelines will be included in the acceptance letter.

*All papers, abstracts, presentations and communication must be in English.

Commercial and advertising papers will not be accepted. The technical committee reserves the right to reject papers.

**Authors must register and attend the Congress for their papers to be published in the proceedings.
